For about two decades, I have researched the following families: Kimbrough (Kimbro, Kembro, Cyneburgh, Kimborough, etc.), Neighbors, Bence and Carter. I have amassed more than 3,000 names with extensive genealogical information on most. At the present, I am earnestly seeking further information regarding the ancestry of my g-g-g-g-g-grandfather, William Kimbrough, Sr. of Greene County, Ga. Most likely he was a descendant of "Colonist John" Kimbrough (1640-1716)of New Kent County, Va., but I need proof of this.
For the past six years, my Tallapoosa Alabama Kimbrough relatives have held annual July reunions in Alexander City, Al. My Bence relatives (descendants of Christopher G.W. Bence)have
held annual September reunions for many years at locations near Daviston/Horseshoe Bend, Al. Any interested persons wishing to share genealogical data or obtain specific information about our next family reunions are warmly invited to contact me.
