About Our Family Research

I have started my research by first asking for information about my parents for a school project. Then a few years later I started to really get into the flow of things. I started again with my parents and my only serviving grandmother. I was able to get a good start to a long adventure. I then wrote letters to family member and asked them mainly for the basic information and then some. I was able to retrieve quite a bit which was hopeful. The most information came from my husbands grandmother and his great uncle. They sent me many things with very detailed information and some pictures which really helped. I also found an aunt who had done some research awhile back that contacted a great aunt who had done even more research. I contacted her and she sent me what she had which was quite a bit as well. So with the good information that i was able to retrieve from family members has helped a great deal to the long process of digging and pulling for information. I did do a little bit of checking on the internet and found out some but not much. It has been a long process but and interesting one at that. After my only serviving grandmother had to move to a nursing home I did go through a lot of boxes and was able to find out a lot of information on my mothers side of the family which was nice. Pictures were the best part of the searching.
