Tangled Branches of Brodie-Kineke family of New York State

Updated June 30, 2004

About Our Family Research

We are researching many branches of family. On Arthur Michael(Mazzeo) Kinekes tree are Kineke, Mazzeo, Herrschaft, Carvella, Folk, Doty, Rankin, Shilling, Mallison and probably many others I am not remembering. On Barbs side are Brodie, Mabie, Shillito, Streeter, Adams, Leonard, Tillapaugh, Dunton, Wells, Hart, Felio, as well as many others. The Brodies came from Scotland into New Brunswick, Canada, then into Maine, Massachussettes and then into New York. The Harts were French Canadian from Quebec and settled in New York and then MA. The Mabies are the South Valley, Otsego County, NY branch, who possibly connect to the Herkimer County Mabies. Shillitos came from England and settled in Hartwick, Otsego County, NY area. The eventually branched out into Kansas and state of Washington. Streeters came from New Hampshire and then into MA. Kinekes and Herrschafts both came from Germany into New York City area. Carvellas and Mazzeos came from Italy into New York City area. Rankins and Shillings from Mercer County, PA. Doty from MA. came over on Mayflower and our descendants traveled and settled in Oyster Bay, NY.

These are just a few of the places and people we are researching.
