Dave and Cathy King were married in 1979. They have four sons, Joseph, Benjamin, Daniel and Christian. Dave started his genealogy research in 1987. Since then he has documented over 2000 direct anscestors. Some of the names being researced are: KING, FLOYD, SLAGEL, DEFENBACH, SOMMER, GRESS, HICKORY, DESCHAND, DESNOYER, DESCHAMPE, CLARK, GROGAN, SKUBE, MEGLAN, BOONE, MULLIGAN, HART, LONG, PRAIRIE, CHAMNESS, STECZYNSKI, STANEK, LECHOIUT, LEGRIS, ARSENEAU, TOUPIN, CAILLOUETE, LANGLOIS,
Dave also has a web site entitled "The Petite Canada Project" which is collecting and sharing information about a long lost French Canadian settlement that begun in late 1830's and vanished by 1870's. The settlement of Petite Canada was located 2 1/2 miles North West of the Village of Bourbonnais, Illinois which is located north of Kankakee, Illinois. Kankakee is about 60 miles south of Chicago.
