I have been doing Genealogy research on the descendants of Duncan and Lydia Fosque King and related families for about twenty years. So far I have the history in the U.S.A to before the French and Indian War. My inspiration has been the Truman and Margaret Mizelle King Manuscript.
In 1752, Duncan King was a privateer for the King of England. He later fought again for England during the French and Indian War.

He returned to Wilmington, NC, cir. 1761 having suffered serious wounds in the war. He married Lydia Fosque and started our King family in Columbus County, NC.

We, their descendants, have an annual family reunion in Lugoff, SC the first Saturday after the Fourth of July. If you are interested in attending contact Mrs. Eleanor K. Glover (803-438-1703), Ferrell D. King (803-432-3224) or me.

The Shiloh Methodist Church (in the Whiteville, NC area) is having homecoming in May. The founder of that church was Lydia King. I'll post the time and place when I get them.

The descendants of William Player, a related family through my mother, Wilma Eleanor Player, is having their annual reunion the first Sunday in May at the Compass Family Restaurant, I-95/US 378 (Exit 135), Turbeville, SC
