As far back as I can remember My family lived in Hartsville, Sc until my father died in 1964 from a drunk driver on New Year's Eve night. He was walking home from a party he and my mother attended. We were all so happy living our day to day lives. Us kids enjoying school, Christmas, birthdays, picnics & trips to Myrtle Beach with the family. I was 10 when he died, one brother, Tony Lynn who was 3 years older than I, and one brother Timothy Lewis who was a year younger. My mother, Phyllis Virginia Nappier born 6-11-29 is now 72. Tony born 10-5-51 is now 50 & I was born 9-14-54 & am 47.
It was a horrible and traumatic thing to lose our father at such young ages and rough on our mother as well. We still all miss and think of him each and everyday.
We moved to West Point, Ga 3 years later. Mom wanted to go back near her home of Lagrange, Ga. We all attended high school there.
I was inlove at age 16, dropped out of school became pregant & married at age 17. I eventually got my GED from the State of Alabama in 1971. My mother then moved to Tallhassee Fl and remarried Dan Pruitt. My brothers all move there as well so there I was still in Ga. with no family!.. In 1978 my marriage fell apart & I also moved to Tallahassee, Fl and we are all still here to this day.
