Looking for information on Kirk family of Mingo county, WVa and Martin County, KY. Especially John and Ella Kirk. They ran a restaurant in Pikeville, KY for a while. Ran the Trailways bus depot in Kermit, WVa. They had a large family; cannot remember all names but there were brothers, Benjamin, Duey, William, Carl, Everett, Russell, Floyd(my father), sisters Mary and Martha Jane. there were others but cannot remember. They had family reunions every August in the Kirk family cemetary in Wolf Creek, Ky. Almost all the brothers worked in coal mines, William was a judge in Ky, Benjamin did not work in the mines, he worked at a wholesale store in Williamson, WVa for many years then for a mine company doing inventory. My father lived in Chattaroy, WVafor many years. When the homeplace burned he moved to Williamson, WVa for a few years then moved to the state of Maryland, where he remained until his death. He is buried in Maher or Mayer, WVa. Have some names of their ancestors but not a lot, willing to share information.
