Became interested in genealogy from helping my mother and took over from her as young girl in Tennessee. My own immediate family names is Hickey, Gore, Sherrell/Sherrill, Ledbetter, LeFever/LaFever, Parsley, Saylors, Barnes, Isbell, Ard, Bray, Bilbrey and of course all the extended names that have married into my family. Notice i said "that married into my family".. it is a standing statement with us..we dont marry into theirs..smiles. There are reunions which I have hope to attend one year. Most are about the same time, and for descendents of Elijah Hickey there is one in September in Baxter, Tennessee area..a parade is included. The Gores, have several around the country, but for my own gore family it is also in the fall in Tennessee. There are other family names that also have reunions but i have not attended them as of yet. As far as I know, my own family is not included in the research that I have found. Apparently I am the only one of that "one son" who is researching, so if looking for the missing link..it probably is my line.
