About Our Family Research
The impetus for this research came from Watson Kirkconnell who self published THE KIRKCONNELL PEDIGREE in 1953 and annual supplements until his death in 1977. He accomplished much of what you see here in the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's during a time when there were virtually no PCs nor the Internet (not as we know it anyway). Watson traveled and did his research using shoe leather where as I have done most of mine on a keyboard. To Watson's original research I have added my mother's family, the Wolfes, and also the distaff side of both my father, the Wests, and mother, the Gardners. Sometimes I followed feeders to these four lines just because I could and they were interesting. This is a work in progress and I do not believe I ever will be finished. I hope not anyway because it is extremely interesting, and I have learned a great deal about history that just is not in the books. I have also met people on the Internet that I would never have known. If you can add to this work or correct it please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
