I am an adoptee. I found my birth family in 1991. Since then I've been even more interested in my family history. This webpage is of my birth ancestry.
My Great, g, g, g, g uncle was Brigadier General Thomas Sumter. (Fort Sumter's namesake)
My Great, g, g, g, Grandfather was interested in politics (unlike me) :) He served as Judge in Putnam County Court, (Putnam County Missouri) Later, he became a Justice of the Peace in Arkansas. He and his 3 (Maybe 4 wives) I'm learning-had anywhere between 22 to 24 children altogether between the 3 to 4 marriages.
I was not interested in history in grade school or high school, but when I started delving into my genealogy, history came alive.
I hope that some of my research can help other's who are interested in learning about the following families: Coffey, Fowler, Hippert, Lawson, Mullinix >(ex)(ax), O Hara, Reed, Sumpter, Wright.
If you have any family histories you think I may be interested in, please feel free to drop me a line. I'd also love to have some photos of my ancestor's. I've seen very few, but would love it if anyone knows where I can find some on the net.
