I am starting research to find a "good" connection back to England. So far there is a solid path back to Ephraim Sr. and a possible connection to Nathaniel son of Nathaniel son of Aaron son of Aron Knapp arriving in MA in ~1638.
Our Canadian "roots" started in Brompton, Quebec with Thomas (who was said to be "the first white child" born in the eastern townships). His son Albert had Alfred Holmes Knapp (b November 25, 1846 - d March 08, 1932). Alfred married Sarah Watkins (b July 22, 1849 - d ??) at Bromton, on February 17, 1872. They had Gordon Lorne Knapp (b August 23, 1882 - d November 08,1968). Gordon married Anne Florence Cordy (b ?? - d March 12, 1933) at Cableton Quebec on September 29, 1908. They had Harold Gordon Knapp (b June 30, 1914 - d November 17, 2000 at 09:15 a.m. Harold was my father. He married my Mother, Wilma Helena McCallum (b October 05, 1917? - d July 22, 1986 at 6:10 p.m.) I was born in Valleyfield Quebec on July 05, 1942.
I married Margaret Elizabeth Trueman (b August 20, 1945) at Kingston, Ontario on May 22, 1965. Our three children were all born at Kingston:
