The Thomas Family is the background of my dad's mom or my Grandma. I was not able to trace my roots back as far as I wanted, but I uncovered a relatively good amount of information that can lead you into discovering the history of the Thomas Family. I started tracing my roots from myself all the way back to my Great Great Grandma.
It was interesting to see how many relatives I have, and how many I do not think I have ever met. The last time we had a family reunion was a couple of years ago when my uncle (Father Thomas), Father George had his Golden Jubille as a priest. I met people that I do not think I had ever met so it was a good experience for me.
Tracing even farther I found that my Grandma's brother, Uncle Al, changed his name from James Joseph to Albert Lawrence. I had not known this, and it is amazing to see what you can find in your family.
I finally was able to go as far back as my Great Great Grandma, and I found out that she was full-blood Austrian. I asked my Grandma if she could tell me any information about her, but she was unfamiliar with Anna Krizmanich, my Great Great Grandma, because as she said "My family really never talked about it, not like we talk about family today."
