The William Simpsons of NC, KY, and IL Updated January 31, 2002
About Our Family Research
Our Simpson research has taken us back to North Carolina, about 1760 and Mary "Polly" Jones, wife of William Simpson was born in Albermarle County, Virginia. They were married in Virginia or Kentucky, and were said to be at Bryant's Station in Kentucky when it was attacked in 1792. No one was killed. In 1805 the Simpson family moved to southern Illinois, where William was one of the first pioneers of that area. From then on, descendants are found across the country.
