This home page is a brief description of the Albert Kostuik family. On my fathers side my great grandparents Joseph & wife(name unknown) Kostiuk, and my grandfather Wasyl Kostiuk,were born in the Ukraine. Wasyl Kostiuk came to Canada in 1907. My great grandparents Mathew & Parianka Shewchuk, and my grandmother Maria Shewchuk were also born in the Ukraine, they all came to Canada in the early 1900's, and on my mothers side my grandfather Peter Ilchyshyn, my grandmother Maria Ilchyshyn (Bresniski) , and my mother Mary Ilchyshyn were all born in the ukraine and came to Canada in 1913, my mother was only 1 years old. Wasyl Kostiuk and Maria Tomniak (Shewchuk) were not married & lived common law and gave birth to my father Peter Kostiuk in 1909, he was the first Kostiuk generation to be born in Canada. I, Albert Kostuik was born to Peter Kostiuk & Mary Kostiuk (Ilchyshyn) in Tway Sk. Canada 30 Jan. 1934. (Notice the spelling of my last name the "uik" instead of "iuk" which was an error on my birth certificate during birth regestration. So all the generations before me were Kostiuk & all the generations after me are Kostuik.) I lived in Canada until Nov.1957 and then I moved to the USA. so, I'm the first Kostuik generation to live in the United States. I was in the USA Air Force from 18 Nov. 1957 to 1 June 1981. I married Constance L. Archibald from Windsor Ont. Canada in 1958 and we had 2 children, Richard Peter Kostuik & Lori Suzanne Kostuik, who are the first Kostuik generation to be born in the USA.
I'm writing all this to pass on to my children & grandchildren so that they can add on to this and pass it on to there children & and grandchildren. On and on for many generations to come.
