The Tylers and Burds of Kalamazoo, MI Updated June 17, 2007
About Our Family Research
I am the grand-daughter of Arthur B. Tyler and Merrill F. Burd, both formerly of Allegan County, Michigan. Both resided in Kalamazoo County also. I am looking for information on my ancestors on both sides, especialy on the Tyler side.
The Tylers could have been among the first to settle in the Kalamazoo area around Cooper township. My great-great Uncle, Marion Tyler, has recorded some early history of Kalamazoo in hand-written journals. I am currently in the process of typing these and submitting them to people of interest.

back row, left to right; Helen, Lucien, Edna, Jessie.
This photo was most likely taken at the farm on N. West St in Cooper township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.
The picture was probably taken between 1906 and 1908, but definetly before March of 1911, the year LeGrand died.
