Growing up I didn't know much about the Bott family. Beyond the immediate family, ancestors were a mystery as my father had little information.
Many years ago my Dad gave me two letters written by my Great Grandfather, George Michael Bott, during the Civil War. I thought they were interesting and filed them away.
While cleaning out the filing cabinet in 2001 I came across the letters and decided to look George up on the Internet. Much to my surprise I found a treasure of information and spent days unraveling the Bott family ancestry and compiling the information.
I was also fortunate that a cousin also had some information and photographs about the Botts and the Pulvers. The Pulvers are my Great Grandmother's father's family.
There is still a lot of information yet to be found and this will continue to be updated as more pieces to the family puzzle are uncovered.
I hope that current family and future generations will find the information fascinating and intriguing as I found out about my family.
