Jacob Koch b. 27 Mar 1794 d 28 Aug 1877 married Mary Ann Smith b. 29 May 1803 d. 26 Sept 1883, on Nov 19, 1819. They were married in Union County PA by Rev. William Heim. Jacob was baptized in Schwartzwald Church in Exeter, Berks County, PA by Rev. William Boos. They moved to Centre County, first to Gregg twp and by 1849 to Potter Twp. They were farmers who had 15 children:
Eliza, Solomon, Jacob Jr, Amos, Sara, Jeremiah, Mary Ann, John, James, Samuel, George, Alfred, Tasker, Benjamin Franklin and Ellen Brinton.

Jacob's father was also Jacob Koch, and his mother may have been named Magdalena. I would like to verify whether or not his father is the Jacob Koch born in 1764 to Johannes Koch b. 1725, brother of Heimrich Koch, who both apparently came from Germany.
