Obituary of Virginia Zombakis Kritis, Brooklyn, NY, Formerly of Monessen
Virginia Zombakis Kritis of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Monessen, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2003. She was born in Chios, Greece, a daughter of the late George & Polikriti Zombakis. A 1953 graduate of Monessen High School, Mrs. Kritis attended Holy Cross Seminary in New York. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Kritis of Brooklyn, New York; three children, John Kritis and wife Patricia;, George Kritis and wife Maryanne, and Irene Kritis, all of New York; six grandchildren, Alexa, Victoria, Anthony, Brittany, Anthony & Nikko Kritis; two sisters and brothers-in- law, Mrs. Steve (Anastasia) Tetteris of Monessen and Mrs. Stephano (Lola) Mikedis of Chios, Greece. She was preceded in death by one brother, George/”Demo”/Zombakis in 1998. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Monessen.
