Nancy and I grew up in and near Neoga IL. I earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and worked for DuPont near Chicago IL, Rockville IN and Augusta GA. When I retired in North Augusta SC, I had time to develop a new hobby.
My aunt, Pauline Trueblood, actually got me started in the genealogy game. She had saved a shoebox full of old pictures, obituaries, and other family mementos, and doled them out to me in small quantities until I was hooked. I gradually found addresses for several long-lost relatives, and am extremely grateful for the help that has poured in during the past five years. We found assistance in family-owned funeral homes, the Genealogy Library in Charleston IL, and from custodians of several cemeteries. Major blocks of information came from Clyde Kesler (Nancy's distant relative, who researched the Lawrence family) and Leamon Rau (a distant relative of mine, who published the first "Rau Family Chronicles").
I am still a newcomer to the Internet, and may have submitted these fractions of my 1500-name family history too soon. I hope that this home page will be of some use, and expect that it will be available for modifications and additions.
