Growney/Fagan Families of New Jersey

Updated December 27, 2003

About Our Family Research

This tree is about the Growney & Fagan Families of New Jersey. Patrick Growney and Margaret Fagan, both from Ireland, married on October 1, 1899 in Newark, NJ and had 11 children. Patrick's brother, John Growney married Elizabeth (Bessie)McBride in 1898 and had 7 children. John's brother, Richard Growney married Mary Coullan in 1903. At the present time, I am still researching to see if they had any children. There were also three known sisters, Anne, Catherine and Mary. There is also a possibility of a brother Michael who remained in Ireland but had several children who came to the United States.

Margaret Fagan had four siblings. Rose Fagan married John Lundman in 1916 and was widowed five years later. It is believed that they had no children. Bridget Fagan married Henry Acker but the date of their marriage and whether or not they had children is unknown. Michael Fagan married Bridget Lynch in 1915 but they also had no children. John Fagan came to the United States twice it is believed that he did not stay.
