If your last name is Kudrna, besides the trouble people have pronouncing your name (Koo-der-naw), you know that our family history is foggy at best. My ancesters came before WW I, from Bohemia. My paternal grandfather, Robert James Kudrna, was born in 1906, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Here's where things get foggy. I think (I don't know), his father was named Joseph. He married, then divorced, then re-married Arleta May Landers sometime during WW II. They had one child, Robert James Kudrna Jr. born in September of 1946 in Portland Oregon. I don't know who he was previously married to, or if they had any children together. The reason that no one seems to know is, no one wanted to talk about it. It was the taboo to speak of the unpleasant past. It was considered to be, "none of our business." This is why I've taken upon myself to research this issue. Neither my brother nor myself know anything of our family history other than what I've stated here. You can contact me anytime via e-mail if you know something rgarding our past.
