Alanson McDonald, with his wife Mary Ann, his children Julia or Juliette and Nathan, and his mother-in-law? Mary Slocum, lived i Bridgeport, CT at time of 1850 census. Later found in City of NY directories in 1860s and then can't find again. He was listed in both places as a "chair maker".

In 1840 census there is a family of Alanso McDonald in Westchester Cty, NY but that was before names of all members were given and the ages don't seem right.

Need any help possible on Alanson and Mary Slocum (61 in 1850). Both born in NY according to census.
