Recently found out which boat Great-great grandmother and grandfather (Fatzer) came over to the states on. G-G-Grandmother maiden name was Maher, first name was Margath "Mary" and G-G-grandfather's name was Jacob Fatzer. They came over on the Friesland and boarded on at Antwerp, Belgium, Date Of Arrival was on 11/14/1894. Their place of residence was Switzerland. They had one son named Jacob Fater who came to the states 12 years later. We believe that he stayed with family as a child and when his father died in 1907 his mother called for him to the states in 1909. He left europe when he was 27. He then married my great grandmother Julia Forst two years later in New Jersey. Her and her brother John came over together but we can not find any information about their trip. They had four children Jacob Jr. who was my grandfather, George Michael(who died in WWII), Lillian and a baby named William who died at the age of 4 months. My grandfather married a wonderful woman name Wanda Nowakowski, she was born in the states but was taken back to Poland as a child. She came back to the states with her cousin Ed Puchilowski when she was 16 yrs old. She has one brother and I believe 4 sisters. One we know as stella who was also born in the United states but also went back to Poland as a child. Her fathers name was Stanislaw(??? not sure of the spelling). We lost all contact when my grandmother passed away in October 1984. If you have any information on the Fatzer/Nowakowski/Forst or Maher families . You can contact me at alkuhn95@yahoo.com or alkuhn95@aol.com The Nowakowski family would be located in Warsaw, Poland. Fatzer family in Switzerland, Forst family (not sure???) and Maher in Ireland. I know these names are very popular in the country they came from, but if the stories sound familiar please don't hesitate.
Thank you Adrianne Kuhn (Granddauther of Jacob and Wanda Fatzer) and Joann Caccavone (Daughter of Jacob and Wanda Fatzer)
