My Greatgrandparents Hugo Kupillas came to America in 1875, settled in Manhatten NY meet Elisabeth Woiselewska and they married 1877 Manhatten. Hugo came from the Opole province of Upper Silesia, Elisabeth came from Posen Prussia Poland. Carmelo Proetto came to America from Catania Sicly in 1892.His wife Maria Giusto Proetto came later, they settled in the Bronx NY. Julius Kupillas is my grandfather,Julius Kupillas Jr is my father. My grandfather and father both born in NYC. Nicholas Pretter/Proetto is my maternal grandfather,Mae(Pretter)Kupillas is my mother,both born in NYC.
