I am searching for connections to my grandmother, Maude (Frantz) Portzer of Elk County PA. She and her husband, Harry, raised their family in Ridgeway but I need to find records for her birth, death and parent's names. I believe the trail leads to Clearfield County. I've been told that her mother was Mary (Chambers) married to John Frantz. That line is connected to the Bliss line because Mary's mother was Emeline Bliss. We have an old picture verifying that. My cousin has researched the Portzer line but the Frantz, Chambers and Bliss lines were in America as far back as the American Revolution and there are many gaps in data. Any information would be most appreciated as a point from which to begin.
