I have been researching our ancestry since the late 1970s, first on my father's french and canadian side of the Kyrouacs, then later on my mother's german side of the Rehbergs. I have been researching these related families for nearly thirty years.

I am the US Central Time Zone Regional Representative on the Association des familles Kirouac, Inc., the family association of the descendants of Urbain-Francois Le Bihan, sieur de Kervoach, who left Brittany in France in the 1720s to relocate to Canada. Some of his descendants moved to what is now Kankakee county, Illinois beginning in the 1840s, and now have surnames such as Kyrouac, Kerouac, Burton, and Curwick.
