Our Great Grandfather came from Canada at the age of 26 years old. This was about 1866. He married Lucinda Paige/Page and had 14 children in and around the Cedar River,Mi area. His name was Charles or Chas Labe. One story told is that he had to leave Canada in a hurry with his pants in his hand and out a window. Charles's parents as of his marriage cert were Narcyl Labe and Julienne Laime. Both from Canada
Lucinda's parents were Augustus & Alvina Page. They were married in Greenbay, Brown, Wisconsin on Jan 1, 1860. Alvina was married previously and her married name was Miller. Her Maiden name may vary Strope.
Augustus came from Canada to Pittsfield WI by 1855. census shows he came to the USA in 1844. I believe he was in New York during the 10 year gap. I find David Page who I believe is Augustus father in the 1850 St lawerence, New York census. All of the family are in Pittsfield in the 1860 census. Siblings of Augustus married into Lucia and the Hayden families of that area.
Other unknown family members we are looking for are Marsell Lavoie/Lavoy/Savoie spelled many different ways who married Lousia Hakes/Hakes/Martin/Lavoy who had been previously married. She was from New York area and they married in Michigan.
Some of the names in the Pages are: Cora, William, Billy Emery, Vina, Grace, Mary, Tink and Eddie. Grace married a Fred Barr and Vina married a Alvin Williams
