As the title implies, I am searching for Lackey ancestors in these states. The search so far has taken me through these states backwards in the order listed to a George Lackey born abt 1802 in NC who was a shoemaker. We are probablely from the well know NC Lackeys and are decendents of the Lackey who went West about 1820/5. We do not have documented tie-in to the Lackeys of NC, but the shoe does seem to fit--though loosely at this time. We have documents that show George and decendents living in Dallas and Polk Cos., AR from 1845 to the present. We also have data about his marriage to Theresa Embry in c.1825 in Franklin Co. TN with birth of three children in TN and then three children in Tippah Co., MS. by 1845 they are in Dallas Co., AR with birth of my gggGrandfather Richard. Any supporting or additional data would be welcomed.
