The (Viens) Cumm Lacey's of Homer, New York

Updated September 7, 2006

About Our Family Research

Most of what I know came from a distant relative John Viens with information dating from the 1590's through 1998. As you know by now, Viens literally means in French, to come. Our immigrant ancester was born Jean Vivien in 1618 in a suburb of Paris call Tasdon, Parish of st. Nicholas of LaRochelle, France according to John. It seems that Jean Vivien migrated from France to Quebec City, Canada approximately 1650.
