About Our Family Research

I started my family tree just after Christmas 2005, By the Feburary of 2006 we had found 2 great Aunts, one from my parternal and one from my maternal side, The great Aunt on my Mothers side had sadly died in 1976 but we had contact with her Daughter, my second Cousin Val who is now 61. The one on my Fathers side is one of my Grandad's Sister's Daughters. We have spoken to her several times and cant wait to meet her.
We also uncovered several "skeletons in the cupboard".
My Mother had always belived that she was an only child of Lilian Headen, But we now have found out the she is in fact one of 7 children, all with unlisted Fathers. Mum was the oldest, We have now found the second daughter who was born Margret Elizabeth, then adopted by the Pate's who didn't change her christian names but she is now known as Megan, Up until the end of January she lived with her husband in Timaru on the South island of New Zealand, They have now decided to move back to England and are living in Eastbourne.
Then just before Christmas last year (2006) we found the first Brother, He was Registered as Keith Headen, But when he was adopted his name was changed to Malcolm and he now lives with his second wife Jenny in Kent. We arranged a big surprise when Megan and her husband David arrived, we had Malcolm and Jenny hidden in the lounge, Wow what a surprise.
We are all now hopeing to find the other 3 by Christmas this year.
