A note from Karin Wagner Lager...
I am recreating my web site after it was lost. If I enter some names each evening, I will eventually have all 1700 names listed.
Obviously, I am not the originator of most of this information. Tom's Dad, Adrian Lager, gave me much of the Lager-Gettings- Reinke information. Tom's Mom, Margaret, allows me to pick her brains about her parents' families.
My cousin, Jim Nigh and his sister, Bessie Marie Barg, both shared a great deal of information regarding the Alderson-Nix- Moody-Pace families.A lovely man named Jim Cross shared from his great store of information regarding the Alderson family group, even though his Aldersons are not our Aldersons.
My father's cousin, Sr. Delores Wagner, and a more distant cousin, Louis Suennen King, both shared information on the Wagner-Meyers-Suennen family groups.
Strangers, distant relatives, all are so very generous in their willingness to reach out in kind helpfulness. To all, I say thank you.
As I add names of those precious to me this anniversary evening, I am thankful for the courage and resilience brought to the United States with our ancestors from Germany, Austria, England, Ireland, Bohemia, Alsace-Lorraine, France, and those Native Americans who all blended to become parts of the people we are.
I corresponded earlier this year with Louise Suennen King's mother, Lucille, about a family reunion. She indicated that she would be interested, but that we would need a team because of the hard work involved. Maybe next year will work.
God Bless you all! Karin
