The Lamberts didnt start off as Lamberts, they were Lombars,(French, from Quebec,Canada.) Honior andLisa Lombar migratefrom Quebec, to Marquette Michigan. They had one son, Frank, born, Dec. 22,1876. Lisa was of Irish decent. Frank changed Lombar to Lambert. He married Christine Toftie,bn in Bergen,Norway 4-28-1886.She was 2 yrs old when she came to America, and almost died on the ship coming over. Frank and Christine had4 children. Emanuel(my grandfather)brn 11-1898, Lillian, born? Frank, born 1905 and Kenneth, born 1921. Emanuel Lambert married Aili Katherine Ronn, they eventually married and divorced 3 times to each other. Emamuel and Aili had 14 children, of which 9 survived: Charles, Marion, Owen,Raymond,Robert, Lorraine, Faye, Emanuel Jr. and Mavis. Emanuel was also called Buck. (My grandfather)His son, Robert, my father. My grandfather Emanuel Sr. was injured in 1942, while working in Greenland, for the U.S. goverment, building a huge air force base, he recived a head injury so severe, that he spent the next 25 yrs in a hospital.
