I have just begun to search for my family history. I feel that I have alot of work ahead. My family is very large today, I can not image this size of my tree with all of my ancestors included.
My cousin John supposedly has been researching very thoroughly I have yet to speak with him on this matter. From what I have been told he has quite a bit of information.
My family's oldest reletive is my grandmother she is my link to the history of my family. When we talk I can't help but to notice her historical and ancestrial knowledge. Through her information and family records I hope to make our family tree a varitable Red Wood.
I have heard of well known people that are in my family tree although I have personally not had a chance to research
the information myself. I was told we were related to this infamous Ma Barker. I basically have the knowledge on that branch of the family tree to retrace that particular line.
We have not had any family get togethers lately. There has been many weddings and births; too many for me to recall. (I will eventually post all this information). One thing our family hasn't had in years is a bonified family reunion. Hopefully we will have one soon so I can share any information I have aquired.
I had always had a fascination with family history. Wondering if I was related to a famous inventor, movie star, war hero, or royalty. It has just made me wonder about the possibilties such as finding a long lost relative or finding a home that a relative built a few hundred years ago. The possibilities are endless.
I hope that I succeed in this endevor I feel that many of my family members will enjoy our history and will pass the knowledge from generation to generation.
