I do not know a lot about my family. I am the only daughter of James Scott LaPorta and the only daughter of his first wife Bonnie J. Hillock. My Grandfather on my fathers side name was Salvatore LaPorta and my grandmothers name was Eleanor. I know that my family is of Italian/Sicilian descendent and that my father moved to upstate Pine Lake NY as a child from the Bronx NY. My fathers family owned and operated a local bar/restaurant in Pine Lake NY while I was a young child. I have an older brother named James Shawn LaPorta. I can tell you my Grandfather Salvatore LaPorta had a wife named Doris before his death and had been living in Port St.Lucy Florida. I am very interested in learning more about my family and finding out if there is anyone left. I never got to know my fathers side of the family and have an emptiness within my heart.
