I'm searching for information on Fier(Fir)family of Joliet, Illinois, Salidas, Colorado and Clinton Country, Iowa. My great grandparents are Martin Fier and wife Mary Jurejevcic who immigrated from Yugoslavia ( I believe from Suhor, near Metlika) sometime in the 1880's. I know Martin had one brother, Matthew and possibly at least one other brother. He may also have had one sister named Mary.
Also looking for information on the Nemanich family of Lokvica, Metlika Yugoslavia and later of Joliet,Il, Matth Nemanich and wife Catherine Skoff of Illinois and Iowa.
