About Our Family Research

My name is Shirley Ann Lash. I am researching the Lash family starting with Peter Lash who came to the United States around 1770. He came from Germany, but I have not found out where as of February 2000. I have not been able to find out where he and his wife are buried. His son, Joseph, was my ggg-grandfather who lived in Sewickley, Westmoreland County, PA. His son, Joseph, Jr. moved to Hancock County, Ohio and about 1856 moved on with his family to Nemaha County, Nebraska. His son Emmor Lash moved on to Oklahoma Territory to what is now Custer City in Custer County. His son, George Clark Lash, moved to Custer City in 1900 and raised his family there. My father, Emmor E., bought the home place when George passed away. Emmor E. passed away in 1946 and my brother, Charles Lash, farmed the land until he retired in 1995. Charles still lives on the Lash home place.
