I started to research my Husbands (Laurent) family when I became pregnet with my first child (Nov.2000). I wanted to be able to tell him where he came from. Now 2 years later, I'm still doing it. I love it. Now a simple search of my husbands roots has turned into a all out research into over 7 families. Laurent,Von Hoven Traschers, Schmitt, Howard (all my Husband's Family) and Runkel, Robbins(on my side),and of course all the other families attached to these families throughout the years. It will probably turn into a life long quest. But one I enjoy. I hope this information will be helpful to you and you'll be able to add a branch or two in your quest.

  This tree is the Decendents of Bartholome Laurent of Mobile, Al. His Parentage is unknown at this time. But, it suspected that Joseph Laurent son of Laurent Laurent, a soldier in the area around thet time could be the father. Only time will tell.
• Laurent Laurent (57 KB)
  This tree is the Decendents of Laurent Laurent a soldier at Ft. Toulouse Al.in the 1720's. It's beleaved that his son Joseph Laurent could be the father of the oldest known Laurent of our line. So, what the hay, I might as well add it to my search.
• Howard, Martin, Trascher, Schmitt (21 KB)
  This tree contains information on the families of my husbands maturnal grandparents. I haven't had much research time on them, so there's not much there. But, I'm young I have many years to add to it.
• Von Hoven's New Orleans, La. (98 KB)
  This tree contains information on the Von Hoven's of New Orleans, La. My husbands, dad's, mother's family. Make sence?
• Runkel Family Tree (12 KB)
  This tree is my Family tree. To me not as exciting as some of the others but, it mine all the same. There's not much here, just what I can pull out of my head. I'm working on getting a file from my mother, who has much more data as to what I have. So, stay tooned.
