My mothers name was Una Ethel (sims) Brown.
My fathers name was Raymond Leroy Wells. Mr.
Brown was my step-father and they had no chil
dren.I was born in Muncie Ind.My Maternal grand
parents were Oscar Sims and Lydia Pearl (Lovett
Sims. My Paternal grandparents were William
Wells and Flora Isabel (Hildreth) Wells. I have
No other records on them.
On the Lovett and Sims side I have a little
bit.Lydia's father was Joseph Lovet or Lovett
He was part cherokee B. 1-29-1847 d.9-15-1926?
He was born in Whitley Co. Ky. and is buried
in Fairview Ky. He was also in the Civil War
and fought for the North. His wife was Minnie
Florence Woodyard or Chandler b. 1-7-1869
Joseph's parents were David Lovet or Lovett
and his Wife's name was Matilda Bird. I am
told she is Spanish Tuchahoe.
Minnie's parents were Lewis Maurice Woodyard
an early settler of Pendleton, Ky but was
raised in Falmouth,Ky His wife was Talitha
Armentha Coyle or Powell?s
Oscar Sims Parents were Melvin Sims and Mary
Margaret Dobbs. Melvin fought in the Civil War
for the North also.Melvin's parents were William
Sims and his wife was Elizabeth from Madison Co.KY
