I've been researching my genealogy for over 20 years. My interest started years before when family stories were told at reunions and by my grandmother. I knew the names of all my great-grandparents before I even began my search. Stories of gold rushes, Mayflower ancestors, Southern plantation owners, a still elusive Indian "princess", Oklahoma land racers, pilgrims, pioneers and homesteaders, fueled my curiousity. My journey through cemeteries, courthouses, libaries, the mail box and e-mail has brought about a list of ancestors who produced presidents, statemen, actors, witch-hunters, college founders, sea-captains, soldiers, slave owners and abolitionist and lots of rope for hanging. Saints and sinners grace my family tree. Welcome, cousins.
