My research has just begun. Any helpful hints on the Kothrade family--as we are all related through some distant relative, whether it be my paternal grandfather, grandfather's cousin's niece, whatever--would be greatly appreciated. The Grahek's which can be linked to Mildred (Grahek) Kothrade, whose father was Joseph Grahek (married to I think Anna--will have to triple check). This would be my paternal grandmother's family of all girls. As for my mother's side, Downey is her maiden name--I've only been able to go as far back as my great-grandfather, who was James Robert Downey m. to Margaret Peters. My grandma's side is the Outcalt side. I have a fairly good start on lineage including names such as Wilde, Lanning, Baker, and Rich. My great-grandpa's on my mother's side would be Morton--which can be traced back to the late 1700s with the birth of Benjamin Morton of Scotland. Other names in the Morton line include Baldwin and Fenn.
