I have just recently decided to create an online family file with Genealogy.com. Prior to this, I created a file compiling some 13,000 names using Family Tree Maker. My Family-Tree-Maker file has become to large to properly handle, so I have decided to create this online file, so that others may view it.

My mother, Kathleen McBride, began this research without the help of a computer before her death in 1978. She provided an excellent base for me to get started with.

I will continue to add names to my online file as time permits. As the online file gets larger, it is my hope that it will help someone fill in any missing blanks in their research.

Some surnames that will appear include: LeLeux, McBride, Plattsmier, Istre, Broussard, Butaud, Landry, Bonin, Bertrand, Higginbotham, Ware, Hebert, Graves and more. Origins of ancestry include: French, English, Irish, Scottish and German.
