I have been in the process of researching the family history on my fathers (and mothers) side for a few months now. I have been able to track from my father, grand-father and great-grand-father, but that is where the trail currently ends. On my grand-mothers side (BROYLES) there is a wealth of well documented information.
Carl R., to Thomas Boyd, to George Washington, to George Likens is what I have now. It appears that most of the Likens were born in Pike County Kentucky but from my GF on grew up in Ohio and West Virginia.
My mothers side, GAMBRELL, were all from Kentucky. Her name was Thelma Lee and her father was Carl. She had 2 sisters, Mary and Alice and a brother that died young (name unknown). Her mothers name was Louise but do not know her surname.
