Alfred & his wife Emily came to America with their two sons and two daughters. As far as we can tell the move was made in the early 1920's. In 1936, Alfred and Emily died within 5 weeks of each other in Port Jefferson Station, NY. Their son, Percy was my father who was born in LongEaton, England on December 7th, 1903. He died in W.Warwick, RI on March 19, 1964. Percy's brother was named John (AKA Jack) who lived in North Port, NY. Unfortunately we do not have the names of my fathers two sisters, but we do know that one of them married Edward Townsend and resided in Port Jefferson Station, NY, and the other sister married Mortimer Conley and resided in Norwalk, CN.
My father,Percy, had four sons. The oldest, Clarence, born on December 10, 1925 died on May 6, 1926; Gilbert who was born in 1928 had three boys and two girls,and died in 1988; Kenneth was born in 1935, fathered a son, David and daughter, Diane by his first wife and a son, J.R. with his second wife. Ken is currently living in W.VA.
