This research of the Bustamante-Olivares ancestors is the effort of Doctor Manuel J Bustamante-de-La-Fuente. The Bustamante Family of Arequipa starts in the year 1699 by Juan Antonio Gonzalez-de-Bustamante and Rosa de Benavidez-y-Espinoza. The de-La-Fuente branch starts in the 1718 with Juan de-La-Fuente-y-Haro and Juana-Lopez-de-Aller in Tarapaca. The Olivares Family starts with Salustiano Olivares-Ballivian who came from Spain to dispose of the family cattle properties in Puno and settled in Arequipa where he married Elvira Marco-del-Pont-Ranero. The Marco-del-Pont branch starts with Manuel Marco-del-Pont-Diaz-de-Vivar who came from Buenos Aires and settled in Arequipa where he married Petronila Roiz-del-Barrio-y-Llosa on August 13, 1825. Maria Elvira Bustamante-Olivares, better known as Viruca, is a product of the marriage of Manuel J Bustamante-de-La-Fuente and Elvira Olivares-Marco-del-Pont.
