My father John Franklin Loar was born May 26, 1921, son of Earnest Peter Loar, and Hesther Flaherty.
Hesther Flaherty was a sister to Joseph Flaherty, Gail Flaherty,
Orpha and Pauline(Polly) twins. There father was Francis (Frank)
Flaherty. Patrick Flaherty, born in Ireland, immigrated to United States, destination Pa. married Jane Barger, daughter of Francis Barger, Sara Pettit.
We are trying to find more about Patrick Flaherty, father of Francis (Frank) and spouse of Jane Barger. He was to have immigrated to United States, born Ireland, around 1830.
Destination Pa. Greene County is where all relatives lived while growing up, with occasional exception. Supposedly he worked the railroads with Jane following him, and died of cholera unknown age, notes say in Oklahoma, but not sure.
We have a census 1880 with Jane living with mother in Pennsylvania & with her children. We think Francis (Frank) died after 1850 census.
