Research has been done through the ALLAN BOOK, and by contact with relatives. History of the family has been passed on to me by word of mouth from my father (John Loehndorf) and Mother (Mary Hegel). Other records have been passed on to me by relatives (cousins, aunts, uncles, neices, nephews). I have no reason to believe that it is not accurate as all names and dates have been verified, as many as possible, by official state and provincial records. (For example, Hubert Loehndorf appears in the 1900 census for Wisconsin, and Peter and Maria Loehndorf's marriage is recorded in Sangamen County, Illinois.) Our oldest ancestor in Canada is one John Loehndorf, buried in Allan, Saskatchewan.
