My name is Jacquie Lolmaugh. My maiden name was Bequette. My great-grandfather's name was George Walter Bequette; whose wife was Lou Bequette. Her real name was Eliza Louzina Hopkins Bequette.They had seven children, but the last girl, Catherine, was born in 1919 and died, as an infant, in 1919. The names of their children were Eva Lee, married Carl Graham; Charles Jackson Bequette, married Rhoda Sharp; John Louis married Girlene Fields; Hal Dewey married Lena Belle Brown; and Carlton Henry married Ola Norman. Dates available are listed on the pages following and their children and generations up to present are listed.
Grandpa Bequette went by Walter, but his given name was George Walter Bequette. When it came to leave for California, Grandpa was a sick little boy; so his parents left him with some close friends. This was done with the understanding that they would send for him, when he got well. Grandpa Bequette never heard from them again. He and Grandma Bequette were married at the age of 17 and 18. They were both 4'11".
