I have been researching the Hale/Holtz families for about 5 years to date. I have come to a complete stop on both families. My Grandfather Hale was orphanned when a young boy. There is little information about either of his parents. We know they were from Manlius, New York before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota around 1900. My Holtz ancestors immigrated from Prussia in the 1876. We have not been able to find any ship records, etc. to understand exactly when they arrived and what port they docked in. We have no history about the family before immigration took place.
