My GGGrandfather Jacob Loreth two brothers Adam and John and his wife Maria stepson Michael Schwartz and son Adam arrived in New York on 1 Jan 1857 on board the William Nelson. They set sail from Havre France after travelling from Bavaria.

They settled near Quincy Illinois in the same year (1857). They had three daughters near Quincy, Katherina born 6 Jul 1857 , Mary Ann born19 Oct 1960 and Christena born 31 Jul 1863.

They all travelled to Christian County near Taylorville, Illinois in 1871.
