The Loveday family of South Australia traces the creation of our long line of nation builders, beginning with Richard John Loveday born in 1818 in London, England. The decision he made to emigrate to South Australia in 1847 with his wife and 4 children was brave and significant for both him and his family and for the newly created Colony of South Australia. From this humble beginning, the Loveday family has grown to large numbers of South Australians, 500 at the last count, who have spread to all parts of S.A and further into Australia. They have had an impact on many levels of life in S.A. and helped fashion this great country.
